Culpeper County Library will have a special Halloween Storytime on Oct. 31 in place of the regular walk-in session. Children and caregivers are encouraged to come in costume. The Charlottesville Derby Dames, a non-profit sports group, is hosting a fundraising event on Halloween night from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the IX Building with live music by Mass Sabbath. The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department will be flushing fire hydrants the week of Nov. 2 through Nov. 7 so that water lines may be kept free of corrosive materials.
Some discoloration of water is expected, but the condition should be temporary. Should the discoloration be prolonged, call the Public Works Department at 825-0285.
Hydrants in the south and east parts of Town will be flushed beginning at 10 p.m. on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, the downtown and west ends of Town beginning at 10 p.m. on Nov. 4 and the north part of town beginning at 10 p.m. on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.
