Where are the comments about FOOTBALL?

Binns blows by CMS:
To sum up Floyd T. Binns’ 36-0 win over rival Culpeper Middle Thursday night, all you had to do was look over at the opposing head coaches when the final whistle sounded.
“We’ve got to teach them to just forget tonight,” Fritts said.

“We got beat, it happens. We’ve got two more and we can still finish at 6-3.”

Cougars’ coach Monty Fritts had almost no voice left, while Blackhawks’ coach Kemp Pullin had almost no dry clothes left after being doused by his players.

“It was water,” Pullin said. “They were chasing me with Gatorade and I’m like ‘Guys don’t ruin my clothes.’”

Pullin was soaking wet courtesy of Binns’ 10-0 record to finish the season.

“When we start coaching every year I tell them were not out here to go 7-3, were not here to be 8-2, 9-1,” Pullin said. “Were here to be 10-0.”

Isn’t it all about learning sportsmanship, as well as playing the game? Briarhill made an excellent observation.

Great Comment! Just check the VHSL rulebook and did not see where a coach has to pull out its players. It is funny how Floyd T. Binns blows away CMS boys football team every year by at least 30 or 40 points and there is no comment. When CMS girl’s won the two games this season against Binns it was not cool as to how the parents came on the court and celebrated the victories, this is not the WNBA remember.
Why don’t you do this, in the off-season get your kid ready for the game of basketball, and be prepared to win by 20 and loose by 20.  I think CMS ran the score up against everyone they played until the Walker Grant beat them. Oh, I forgot, they cheated you all in the game right.
47-10 GO BINNS! Next week it’s football again by!

What the story failed to mention was that the coach of Binns did not pull her starters out completely until 3 minutes to go in the game, after leading by about 25 at the half and over 30 in the 3rd quarter.  This is middle school, not the WNBA.  It is still a learning curve.  What does it prove to beat someone by 40 or more when you know they are minus most of the starting five?  But then again, last year the same thing occurred, to the tune of 55 to 5.  Way to go, coach.
