With the spring sports season well under way, sports fans will soon have a new hangout to catch the games and grab some grub.

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar, located at the far end of the Kohl's shopping center on Nalles Mill Road, is set to open sometime the first week in April, offering 14 styles of wings in a sports-friendly atmosphere.

The 5,000-square-foot location will feature an outdoor covered patio, complete with flat-screen TVs.

Construction began Jan. 1 and has remained on track for next month's opening, said Chuck Taylor with Ohio-based HC3 Construction. General Manager Deanne Davis will be at the restaurant today accepting job applications.

BW3's or B-Dubs, as patrons often call it, bills itself as one of the nation's 10 fastest-growing restaurant chains. It is headquartered in Minneapolis.

Several other businesses in the shopping center are under construction, including Honeybaked Ham Co. and Caf-, set to open March 14 or 15, and Anytime Fitness.

Video game enthusiasts have begun frequenting GameStop, which opened Thursday and is also hiring.

Tommy Knight, 17, browsed the gaming store for the first time Friday.

"It's a better selection (than Wal-Mart or Target)," he said. "There's more quantity of titles."

Also open in the shopping center is Sally Beauty Supply, which is accepting applications for cosmetologists.
