Beastie Boys headline ‘Get Out and Vote’ concert tonight in Richmond

The Beastie Boys and some friends head to Richmond tonight for Get Out and Vote ‘08 tour.

The show has a seven-date run, which started yesterday in Charlotte, N.C., and targets swing states.

Richmond’s is the largest bill, featuring the Beasties, Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones and Santogold.

Despite the political focus of the shows, no money is being raised for any group.

The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh St. Tickets are $36.
