Whether you like rock n’ roll, funk or country, The Mixx will satisfy your thirst for music this weekend.
This four-man band — bassist and lead vocalist Brandon Collier, drummer Razor G. Willie, keyboardist Paul Gum and guitarist Elvin Davis — will perform at The Hazel River Pub, located behind the Hazel River Inn Restaurant on East Davis Street, Friday and Saturday.
The Charlottesville-based group identifies their sound as modern rock, classic rock, new country, classic country and top 40s funk.
Inspired by country singer Buck Owens, hard rockers KISS and sultry soul singer Marvin Gaye, Davis says the band is into it all.
The cover is $5 and the band will take the stage at 9:30 p.m.
