Chris Brown removes name from Kids Choice Awards

NEW YORK (AP) — There won’t be any awkward Chris Brown moment at the Kids’ Choice Awards — the embattled pop star has withdrawn his name from the ballot.
Brown had been nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for “Kiss Kiss” at the March 28 awards show on Nickelodeon. The nominations came shortly before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna.
A petition had been circulated to take his name off the ballot, but Nickelodeon said yesterday he was still on. On Wednesday, Brown decided to take his name out of consideration.
In a statement, his representatives said while Brown would like to speak directly to his fans, he can’t because of his criminal case.
He thanked his fans for their support.

Wow. People Have Really Taken Things To The Next Level With This One. I do understand that Chris Brown is an icon and a role model to a lot of young people which is why it’s being so talked about. But if this happened with an everyday couple it wouldn’t have been taken this far. I Am a DIE HARD Chris Brown fan and i will be until the day I die which is why im on his side with whatever happens. Sure you’re not suppposed to put your hands on a female. But no one should put their hands on any one. Reguardless of what sex they are. I think That Rihanna Played a Significant role in what happend the night of the grammy’s. I mean think about it; we’ve watched Chris Brown grow up right in front of our eyes and never has he been the type to be a violent or abusive person. Especially since he’s had first-hand experience with domestic violence. I mean who knows, maybe the reason he lost his temper was because of the fact that he grew up around it and thats what he’s used to. But im not saying that thats okay. So what reason would he have to just hit her out of nowhere? Ultimately, no one knows what REALLY went down that night except the two of them. Personally, i think she provoked him in some kind of way and from there Chris just lost his temper for a second and got carried away with his anger. Ether way, i think everybody should jus stop labeling him as a “woman-beater,“ or whatever else he’s being called at this point, and just leave him alone and let him get back to his life.
