Movies return to the Mount
The Library of Congress Mount Pony Theater re-launches its free movie programming Friday at 7:30 p.m. with “A Hard Day’s Night” (United Artists, 1964). But it’s going to be hard to get a seat unless you’ve already made reservations.
All seats in the 200-seat theater were fully reserved for the Beatles classic as of Tuesday, according to the reservation line.
But the LOC movie line is still accepting reservations today for “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (20th Century Fox, 1969), playing Saturday at 2 p.m. on Mount Pony.
Though the theater was dark just a month while the government figured out its budget, here’s a big hearty “Welcome back” to the LOC folks who make it all happen.
