Sept. 28
Bible Baptist Church will be having its Fall Revival meeting with Dr. Gerald Fielder. The meetings will begin on Sept. 28 and going through Oct. 13. Services begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., then our Worship service at 11 a.m. and will continue through Friday with services beginning each evening at 7 p.m. There will be special music each evening. Shiloh Baptist Church, Rixeyville, extends an invitation to our Homecoming and Revival services, Sept. 28. Morning services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Minor. Lunch will be served after service. Evening service will begin at 3 p.m. with guest speaker, the Rev. Morton of Beulah Baptist Church, Eggbornsville. Revival will be Sept. 28 through Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
Mt. Pisgah, Tanners, has cancelled the trip to Lancaster, Pa. to see “In The Beginning” on Oct. 25. Call Jean Wood at 672-3717 if there are questions.
New Salem Baptist Church will be holding Homecoming on Sept. 28 at the 11 a.m. service. The Greater Love Quartet will be performing, lunch to be served after service. Come out to join in this time of fellowship.
Woodville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronald L. Poe, Pastor, invites the public to join us for our Homecoming and Revival services from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1, with the following schedule: Sept. 28 to 11 a.m. worship service with the Rev. Poe, followed by a Fellowship dinner and 2 p.m. service with guest speaker the Rev. Alpheus Atkins; Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. Revival beginning at 7:30 p.m. - services with the Rev. Atkins.
Oak Shade United Methodist Church, Route 229 North, Rixeyville, invites the public to join us for our Sunday service beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Sharon Forbes’ message will be, “Walking With Jesus.” Scripture from Matthew 14:22-32.
Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Haywood (Madison County) is having Homecoming Sept. 28. Pastor Ludwell Brown, Sr. will preach morning service, with lunch afterwards.
Afternoon guests will be the Rev. Daniel Johonson and congregation from Macedonia Baptist Church in Tappahannock. Revival will be Sept. 30 with the Rev. Gene Lee from Nazareth Baptist Church in Orange; Oct. 1 the Rev. Maurice Evans from Elk Run Baptist Church in Shelby; Oct. 2 the Reverend Frank Lewis, Sr. from Antioch Baptist Church in Madison.

Jeffersonton United Methodist Church, intersection of Routes 621 and 602, Jeffersonton, invites the public to join us for our Sunday service beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Barbara Jamieson’s message will be, “Forgiveness.” Scripture from Matthew 18:21-35. You may also hear the sermon at Woodland UMC at 11:15 a.m.
Good Hope Baptist Church, Norman, with Pastor Nathaniel Butler and church family invites the public to Homecoming services Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Worship with the Rev. Butler delivering the message. Dinner served immediately after service. Afternoon service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Derrick Mathis of Manassas delivering the message. Revival Monday thru Friday evenings at 7:30 nightly, with the Rev. Mathis evangelist.
Sept. 28-Oct. 1
Woodville Baptist Church welcomes the Rev. Ronnie Poe as our Pastor. Everyone is invited to join us for our Homecoming/Revival Services from Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, with the following schedule: Sept 28 at 11 a.m. worship service with the Rev. Poe, followed by a covered dish meal and 2 p.m. service with guest speaker, the Rev. Alpheus Atkins; Sept. 29 through Oct 1, beginning at 7:30 p.m. service with the Rev. Atkins. Nursery will be provided.
Sept. 30
Lyra, the famed choral group from Russia will present a concert of both religious and secular Russian music at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 1
Gourdvine Baptist Church, Eggbornsville Road, Rixeyville, announces Oct. 1 and 3, Wednesday night services will include: dinner will be available starting at 6 p.m. (with a minimal fee), mission friends, for children younger than 1 grade; G.A.”s (Girls in Action), for girls in grades 1-6; R.A.’s (Royal Ambassadors) for boys in grades 1 through 9; WOM (Women’s Missions), for our ladies; Brotherhood (Men’s Missions), for our men; Second and fourth Wednesday of each month – starting Oct. 8 Wednesday night services will include: dinner will be available starting at 6 p.m. (with a minimal fee), your choice Bible Studies or class on family issues. For children we will have Kids-Rec with games, sports, and movies.
