Culpeper Motor Corporation, the area’s largest and oldest Cub Cadet dealer, was awarded the highest and most honorable award from Cub Cadet Yanmar by being chosen their National Dealer of the Year for 2009.

This coveted honor was presented to David Carter, general manager of Culpeper Motor Corporation, on Sept. 18 at the National Cub Cadet Dealer Meeting held in Memphis Tenn.
Based on achievement, customer service and satisfaction, knowledge of the product line, sales production and dedication to the customer, this award honors the efforts of M.E.”Buddy” Rudy Jr., who established the business 53 years ago and has been an owner and operator since their start.

In 2008, Culpeper Motor Corporation won the Cub Cadet Dealer of the Year award for Region 3, which is basically the East Coast of the United States.

This award also comes at a time of a changing of the guard for Mr. Rudy, as he has announced he is retiring and closing Culpeper Motor Corporation.

After a dedicated life of sales of Farm and Garden Equipment for over 60 years, coming to work each day greeting and serving with sincerity and dedication his “family” of customers.

This does not mean that Cub Cadet sales and service will change. Former co-owner and general manager, David Carter, will be continuing the Cub Cadet sales and service under his sole ownership and trading under the new name of Cub Cadet Culpeper.

Carter will be moving the dealership to a new location in Culpeper with an easier customer access, and newer facilities to better service their customers.

“This changeover,” said Carter, “may take a couple of weeks delay in both sales and service, but the end result we feel will be much more beneficial to our customers. We welcome all to the new store and hope to increase our business by serving our regular customers with continuing excellent service and inviting new customers to join our widespread “Cub Cadet Family.”

The location and official opening date will be released soon.
