Humane Society of Culpeper hosts feral cat photo contest

The Humane Society of Culpeper is hosting a feral or stray cat photo contest in conjunction with National Feral Cat Day Oct. 16.

Submit a photo and a description or story by mail or e-mail of cats/kittens that are feral, stray or living outdoors.

No fee is required and the first place winner will receive a complimentary spay or neuter of the cats.

Entries are to be received by e-mail, mail or in person by Oct. 5.

Entries can be e-mailed to or mailed to P.O. Box 1224, Culpeper, Va., 22701.

Since the Humane Society of Culpeper’s Trap-Neuter-Release program began in May of 2008, approximately 300 adult cats have benefited from spay/neuter in Culpeper County and surrounding areas!

Many kittens have been rescued and adopted back into the community.
