February schedule for Mount Pony Theater
The Library of Congress Mount Pony Theater bids January farewell this weekend starting with “Laura” (1944, 20th Century Fox) Friday night at 7:30.
Saturday, laugh for ages with “The Golden Age of Comedy” from 1957 at the 2 p.m. matinee. LOTS of seats are still available for this comedy documentary.
Starring Dana Andrews as a detective investigating the murder of the title beauty, a famous ad executive, “Laura” casts her spell even from the grave. The movie celebrates the centenary of Andrews, born New Years Day 1909 in Mississippi.

“The Golden Age of Comedy” stars the like of Laurel and Hardy in a compilation of scenes featuring some of the best comics from the silent film era. It’s the Saturday Silent’s Warm Up and it’s just the beginning of a wonderful tradition on Mount Pony.
