Convicted murderer faces felony charges

A convicted murderer from Radiant faces five felony charges after an early morning traffic stop in Madison on Monday.
Kevin George Garr, 43, of the 30 block of George James Loop was charged with five counts of possession of firearms by a felon.
Garr was part of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Virginia State Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Department and the Blue Ridge Narcotics Task Force.
In 1992, Garr was sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a 66-year-old Culpeper woman.
Garr is being held without bond and due to appear in Madison County General Court today at 8:30 a.m.
