Teacher accused of sending teen lewd photos

LEBANON — An eighth-grade Lebanon science teacher is behind bars accused of sending lewd photos to a teenage boy.
  Connie Beth Klewer is being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon. The 37-year-old was arrested and charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, using a communications device to solicit a minor, buying alcohol for a minor, possession of child pornography and other charges.
  A search warrant filed in Russell County this week said Klewer sent the photos via telephone and computer and that they were found on the boy’s cell phone July 9. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Klewer that day.
  Authorities declined to say whether Klewer taught the boy or reveal other specifics of the case.
