Congressman Eric Cantor, R-Richmond, today anounced additional experts testifying at Thursday’s “Economic Recovery Solutions” hearing in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of the hearing, which Cantor began organizing earlier this week, is to garner “innovative ideas and solutions to help revitalize America’s economy,“ according to a release from his office. The hearing resulted from President-elect Barack Obama’s challenge Monday for real solutions to the economic crisis.

“Tomorrow will be an opportunity for Republicans to respond to President-elect Obama’s request to offer solutions that help put America back on the path to prosperity,“ Cantor said. “Top national experts will offer innovative approaches that address the needs of working families and small businesses and put American back on the path to prosperity.“

Politcians and economic experts participating in Thursday’s hearing include:
*John Boehner, Republican leader (R-Ohio)
*Eric Cantor, Republican Whip
*Mike Pence, Republican Conference Chair (R-IN)
*Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts
*Meg Whitman, former CEO, e-Bay
*Alex Brill, American Enterprise Institute
*Bill Breach, The Heritage Foundation
*Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform

The hearing takes place Thursday at 10 a.m. in the House Budget Committee Hearing Room in the Cannon House Office Building, room 210. Check it out on-line in real time at republicanwhip.house.gov/
