More than two dozen local businesses will participate in a job fair the week of Thanksgiving at the Daniel Technology Center in Culpeper.

Culpeper’s Congressman Eric Cantor, a Richmond Republican, announced in a release Tuesday that he was holding the job fair Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This summer, Cantor, minority whip in the U.S. House, hosted a job fair in Richmond.

He said in the release more than 3,500 job seekers and 80 employers attended the Richmond event.

“As we approach the holiday season, many families in our community continue to need help getting back to work,” Cantor said, referencing the high interest in his earlier job fair. “I hope that our Culpeper job fair will build on this effort to give even more Virginians the chance to get their lives back on track.”

As of Tuesday, 29 businesses or organizations indicated their participation in the Nov. 23 job fair, including: Comcast, County of Culpeper, Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, Culpeper Regional Hospital, FBI, Orange County Public Schools, Plow & Hearth, Spotsylvania County Public Schools, Terremark Worldwide, The Boar’s Head, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Culpeper Recruiting Station, U.S. Secret Service, University of Virginia and Wachovia.
