Local government access station Channel 21 will air two special programs tonight through the weekend.

Starting tonight at 6, viewers can tune in to the community Thanksgiving service held Tuesday at Culpeper Baptist Church. The Culpeper Ministerial Association hosted the service, which featured John W. Kinney, dean of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond.

At 8 p.m., Channel 21 will air “American Idol” contestant Chris Sligh’s concert in Culpeper. Sligh performed Saturday at Culpeper County High School in memory of Kelsey Orndorff, who died in a car accident in August on her way to Sligh’s concert in Fredericksburg.

The CCHS concert also featured Satellite 29, the worship band Orndorff co-founded.

Both programs will air on the same schedule through Sunday night.
