SATURDAY
Up, up and away: The 10th annual Culpeper AirFest returns to Culpeper Regional Airport in Brandy Station; the free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Look up for loops by a vintage Harrier aircraft and the Bealeton Flying Circus. Other highlights include an Apache helicopter, corporate jets and crop dusters. Classic cars on the ground and activities for the kids.

ALL WEEKEND
Awesome apples: Graves Mountain Lodge in the village of Syria in Madison County hosts the 40th annual Apple Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free event goes off rain or shine and features hayrides, horseback riding, pick-your-own-apples and the Graves’ family working farm. Music, food and much more.

SUNDAY
Taste & Battle: Taste of Culpeper meets The Battle of the Bands from noon to 5 p.m. at the Depot in downtown Culpeper. Five local bands battle it out for prestige while numerous local restaurants, wineries and breweries offer tastes. $10 in advance, $15 at the door; includes complimentary wine glass; kids 12 and younger get in free.
