For the superstitious, today is one of those infamous and unlucky days … Friday the 13th. Hopefully you’ve avoided the worst by already making those Valentine’s Day plans.
Yep, it’s tomorrow. Most restaurants are offering special menus, including Tea, Lace and Roses; It’s About Thyme; Foti’s; Chiusano; Lucio; Luigi’s and others — just be sure to call in advance. Here are some ways to celebrate either day:

Friday the 13th:
Jason Voorhees is back from the dead, again. What is this, like the 10th time? Actually it’s the 12th, but the new Friday the 13th film is a revision of the original. It’s released today — how fitting — and plays at the Regal Culpeper Stadium 4 at 4:40, 7:30 and 10 p.m. Leave your machetes at home.

Chocolate and wine:
Join Gray Ghost Vineyards Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and treat your valentine to a vast array of deca-dent chocolate desserts and Cab-ernet. Cost is $15 per person and includes unlimited desserts, tastings of gold medal-winning red wines and a valentine glass. Located at 14706 Lee Highway in Amissville; call 540-937-4869.

Old House Vineyards is hosting a five-course gourmet dinner Saturday prepared with its award-winning wines. The dinner is $60 a person, including wine. Reservations are required. Located at 18351 Corkys Lane; call 423-1032.

Watch out for ‘Foul Play’:
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at The Inn at Kelly’s Ford, offering a romantic dinner from its award-winning chef. Choose from prime rib, pork loin, sautéed tilapia, shrimp with beurre blanc, and other dishes. Local band “Foul Play” will perform at Ripley Hall. Reservations recommended; call 399-1779.

Sing your heart out:
Serenade your sweetheart with a singing valentine, courtesy the Culpeper Minutemen chorus. The elegantly dressed traditional barbershop harmony quartet will sing two romantic love songs in barbershop style and provide a red rose, box of chocolate and personalized card.

The quartet is available today and Saturday at a location of your choosing. Call Tom at 222-9050, e-mail or order online at harmonize.com/culpeper.

‘I’ll have what she’s having’:
See Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan feud and fall in love in the modern love story “When Harry Met Sally,” Saturday at the Library of Congress Packard Campus Theatre at 2 p.m. Res-ervations are encouraged; call 827-1079 ext. 79994.
