Glass wins Henretty Award

Mary Jane Glass was named the Culpeper County Chamber of Commerce’s L.B. Henretty Outstanding Citizen of Culpeper during a ceremony held Thursday night at the Daniel Technology Center.

Glass, who served two terms on Town Council including one term as vice mayor, has logged more than 16,000 volunteer hours as a member of the Culpeper Hospital Auxiliary and has served on the Hospital Foundation Board from its creation until the present. Glass retired as a guidance counselor from Culpeper County Public Schools in 1999.

Kelly Rozwadowski of K-Art and Design was named the first recipient of the organization’s Young Professional of the Year Award.

Also recognized during the banquet were Small Business Person of the Year Bobby Leftwich of The Bike Stop and Most Improved Small Business Location Analytical Services, Inc. at 402 N. West Street.

Karen Carroll received the President’s Award from Win Carithers for her service during his two-year term, and Pat Baisden was regonized for her years of service to the chamber.
