TOWN STATS: As the town looks back at its FY06 report, we'll provide a closer look at the town's stats on growth, police calls for service, tourism, etc.
 
RECOVERING: Kellie Baker, the fourth-grade teacher at Pearl Sample Elementary who had an operation for cancer Tuesday, is back home and recovering.
 
TWO FORUMS:
1. Germanna Community College President David Sam wants to hear from people about classes they'd like to see offered at GCC. The forum is Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. at GCAT.
2. The Lignum Ruritan Club political debates are Oct. 23-25. Organizer Tom Seay is soliciting your questions for the candidates. We'll give you all the 411.

COMING SUNDAY:
 
AIR FEST: Full coverage of Saturday's Air Fest at Culpeper County Regional Airport. The event includes a number of air shows, vendors and a salute to fallen air fest pilot Nancy Lynn, who died during last year's show in front of hundreds of spectators.
 
LIVING WITH CANCER: Erica Hutchinson was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant. We'll look at how she has used her disease to help others.
 
COMING MONDAY:
 
NEW SIDEWALKS IN TOWN: VDOT will fund 80 percent of the project to install sidewalks from Germanna Highway all the way down Madison Road to Willis Lane. The project is expected to start this year and will take nine months.
 
TASTE OF CULPEPER: Our photographer, Vincent Vala, will be at the event Sunday afternoon in downtown Culpeper.
