A week after his last visit to town, the Republican gubernatorial candidate returns to Culpeper Friday afternoon for a rally; this time, he’s expected to bring the GOP’s national leader with him.

Bob McDonell leads the Republican rally at 1:45 p.m. at the Depot on Commerce Street. State candidates sharing the ticket will also be there, including, Bill Bolling, candidate for lieutenant governor, and Ken Cuccinelli, the Republican candidate for Virginia Attorney General.

And get this: Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is expected to accompany them. Del. Ed Scott, R-Madison, and local Republican candidates will also be there.

McDonnell last came to Culpeper Thursday on the campaign trail and to talk about job creation with local builder Anthony Clatterbuck.

E-mail or call (804) 612-9111 for information or to RSVP for this Friday’s rally.
