Jason E. Robinson, the 22-year-old Culpeper man arrested Thursday in Madison County, now faces more charges for allegedly throwing his infant son to the ground multiple times.

According to Madison County Sheriff Erik Weaver, Robinson was charged Friday with: felony abduction of a child, felony assault and battery on a police officer, felony attempted malicious bodily injury to law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and driving on a revoked license.

He had already faced charges of aggravated malicious wounding, driving under the influence of drugs and felony eluding.

Police believe Robinson was on PCP Thursday morning at the child's mother's house on John Tucker Road. He went into a rage, took off his clothes outside and grabbed the boy from his mother's arms.

A man who lives on the road separated Robinson from the child before police arrived. Rescue crews took the boy to a pediatric care intensive unit with three fractures to his skull.

Robinson is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail on no bond. He appears Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m. in Madison County General District Court.
