Session on school costs open to public

The Culpeper County School Board invites the public to its business and budget work session tonight. 

The public meeting held in Central Office's Colin Owens Conference Room, 450 Radio Lane, is scheduled to begin after the closed session around 6:45 p.m.

The business agenda includes reports on Eastern View High School's allowance log, a detailed list of changes and/or updates regarding the county's second high school.

The board will also discuss construction soft costs concerning Yowell Elementary and Eastern View.

Soft costs range from the cost of furniture, architectural fees, legal costs and/or other miscellaneous items.

The budget work session will focus on transportation, food service, operations and maintenance concerns.

The board will also discuss ways to improve communication, according to the agenda.
