Walgreens scheduled to open Tuesday

Walgreens, is set to open its Culpeper store at Bus. 29 and Montanus Drive Tuesday at 8 a.m., according to a company statement released Friday.
Employees are expected to put the finishing touches on the store over the weekend.
“We’re excited about bringing Walgreens to Culpeper,” said manager Amy Rupert. “We’ve hired an outstanding staff whose focus will be delivering exceptional customer service to this community. We believe customers will appreciate the level of convenience they’ll find in features like our drive-thru pharmacy, automatic prescription refills and nationwide network of pharmacies.”
The Culpeper store will also be linked to Walgreens’ advanced pharmacy system, meaning that local customers can refill prescriptions at any Walgreens store in the country.
The store will also stock everyday items including health and beauty supplies, small electronics, toiletries, frozen foods, soft drinks and snacks.
Store hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Pharmacy hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Walgreens is the nation’s largest drugstore chain, with 6,544 stores in 49 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
