Woman charged with reckless driving in wreck

A Jeffersonton woman who reportedly tried to avoid hitting a deer on U.S. 29 Saturday night flipped her SUV before being transported to Culpeper Regional Hospital, according to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office.

Stacy Dodson, 29, was charged with reckless driving/failure to maintain control.

Spokeswoman Corey Byers said Dodson was northbound in a 2002 GMC Yukon near White Shop Road around 11:30 p.m. when she swerved into the left northbound lane and overcorrected back into the right lane.

Dodson also had three children in the vehicle at the time of the wreck. She was the only person that received any injuries.
