The American Legion and VFW posts of Culpeper and Fauquier counties invite area World War II veterans on a bus trip to the World War II memorial Oct. 19.
Vets do not have to be Legion or VFW members to participate but should register to attend by Oct. 4. Veteran and guardian applications are available at Va16thDistrict.org/HonorBus.
The bus will leave from Culpeper American Legion Post 330 at 10:15 a.m., with a second pickup at 10:35 at the Warrenton commuter parking lot at Dumfries Road and U.S. 29. Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to check in. There is no cost to veterans; guardians are asked to make a freewill donation.
