Arrest made in April 7 larceny

A Culpeper man has been arrested in connection with a larceny April 7 at Merrimac Grocery on U.S. 29.

Presley Cubbage, 19, is charged with grand larceny and breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

According to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, someone had tried to open cash registers at the store and took a bag containing a cash deposit of about $230. Damage to a cash register was estimated at $180.

Cubbage, who is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 3 at 11 a.m., is being held in Culpeper County Jail on no bond.
