Hit-and-run sends woman to hospital

Police are looking for a suspect in a Thursday night hit and run on Sperryville Pike that sent a Fredericksburg woman to the hospital.
Town spokesman Wally Bunker said the 47-year-old woman was westbound on Sperryville Pike in a 2003 Saturn when a Ford SUV pulled out from Gardner Street and struck her vehicle.
Bunker said the SUV left the scene and headed west on Sperryville Pike.
The Saturn sustained about $5,000 in damage. Bunker said the investigation is continuing.
