Culpeper resident Darryl T. Wallace, 19, faces new charges — while having others dismissed — in relation to a home invasion Aug. 24 on Mount Pony Road.
According to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, Wallace was charged with seven felonies Sept. 17 in General District Court: abduction and kidnapping (two counts), breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony (two counts), robbery, malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Wallace had originally faced five felony charges that were similar in nature.
In earlier press reports, Wallace was listed as living in Washington, D.C. The CCSO later discovered his most recent address is on Yancey Street on Culpeper.
Wallace, who is being held in Culpeper County Jail on $50,000 bond, will appear in court Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Office is still looking for a second suspect who may have been involved in the crime and eluded police during a manhunt in the Brandy Station area.
The CCSO says Wallace, the unnamed fugitive and a male victim were in the same car, which became inoperable near the intersection of U.S. 29 and Alanthus Road, shortly after the home invasion.
