A Culpeper man will face a jury trial Nov. 17 and 18 in connection with a shooting and hit-and-run at Buffalo Wild Wings in March. Christopher H. Jackson, 26, faces charges of attempted malicious wounding, maliciously shooting into an occupied building, use of a firearm in a felony and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Culpeper County Circuit Judge John G. Berry also wants Jackson to appear in court July 27 to settle any issues Jackson has with counsel representation.
Earl D. Tyler, 25, also faces charges of hit and run, unlawful wounding, and hit-and-run resulting in damage of more than $1,000 in connection with the same incident. His case has been continued to Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
According to court records, Tyler and Jackson got into an argument with other patrons inside the restaurant around 1:45 a.m. on March 6.
As the two were leaving, Tyler is accused of hitting a 31-year-old man with his SUV; Jackson is accused of shooting from the vehicle.
No one was hurt due to the gunfire, but a bullet shattered one of the restaurant’s windows. The unidentified hit-and-run victim was not seriously injured.
