The Virginia State Police needs the public’s help in a larceny investigation on U.S. 29 just south of Reva involving Virginia Department of Transportation property.

Trooper W.L. Lyle said a solar panel was stolen from a portable message board sometime between Aug. 11-20. The board was on a wide, grassy shoulder on U.S. 29 about three quarters of a mile south of Hoover Road.

Lyle estimates the value of the Mitsubishi 100-watt solar panel at $3,800.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the VSP at 829-7766 or 829-7771.
