School Board candidates meet Oct. 13 in public forum

All six candidates for Culpeper County School Board will meet three weeks prior to the November election during a public forum Oct. 13 at Eastern View High School.
The Culpeper County Education Association’s Committee for Children and Public Education will host the event, which starts at 7 p.m.
Candidates will give a brief opening statement before the question-and-answer portion of the program.
According to event organizer Kim Williams, the questions will focus on the school division’s operations, finance, policy, community relations and personal philosophy.
Anyone who wants to submit questions prior to the event is asked to e-mail Williams at by Tuesday.
The candidates, by district, are:
* Cedar Mountain: Elizabeth Hutchins and Richard Goff
* West Fairfax: Bob Houck and John Cerio
* Stevensburg: George Dasher
* Jefferson: Leanne Jenkins
