Del. Rob Bell will lead a ceremony on Monday dedicating the bridge over the Rapidan River on U.S. 29 in honor of two local fallen soldiers.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The bridge, which crosses the river at the Greene and Madison county lines, will be recognized as the “Fallen Heroes Memorial Bridge in Honor of Adam J. Fargo and Edwin A. Andino.”

Corporal Adam Fargo was killed in Iraq on July 22, 2006. Private First Class Edwin “EJ” Andino was killed in Iraq on September 3, 2006. Members of both families are expected to attend.

A previous dedication bestowed on the bridge in honor of Nathaniel Early, who represented Greene and Madison counties in the General Assembly beginning in 1897, will remain.
