HOW I SEE IT: Both political parties have failed us

Both the Republican and Democratic parties have miserably failed the American citizens in the past 20 years.
We no longer have any statesmen, only politicians at every level of government. Case in point: Whatever party is in the majority at any given time pushes its agenda without consultation with or consideration for the minority party’s views.
Fast forward to the next election and the parties’ roles are reversed. Now the new majority says it’s payback time and proceeds to shove its agenda down the minority party’s throat without any thought of what’s best for the country. Sound familiar?
As bad as the last eight years were, the Obama administration, along with Reid and Pelosi, has reached a new pinnacle of incompetence. The mindless spending that this administration has embraced is beyond comprehension. Our children and grandchildren will be burdened for the rest of their lives trying to get out from under the debt.
The health care fiasco is minute in comparison to the potential impact that the so-called “Cap and Trade Bill” will have on every phase of your life. The economy runs on energy, and the proposed costs associated with this bill will bring the economy to its knees.
The first thing we can do is send Wasington a message that Virginia does not agree with the direction in which the country is headed. We can do this by electing Bob McDonnell governor.
McDonnell is articulate in taking his message to the residents of Virginia. On the other hand, Creigh Deeds cannot finish a simple sentence without stumbling/fumbling. I guess that is why he has surrogates speak for him in his commercials. Without offering meaningful programs to improve Virginia’s economy, he is simply tying his campaign to the coattails of Obama, Warner and Kaine.
Please join me in sending Washington a message Nov. 3 by electing Bob McDonnell Virginia’s next governer. Where is Ross Perot when you need him?

McDonnel, in other words, would make a great car salesman.
So you’re saying that being a smooth talker is your number one criteria for gov. Great. I guess you must have voted for Obama over McCain.
