I know some want to make the narrow 5-4 ruling out as a slap in face of Sotomayor and Obama by extension, she actually only let the ruling stand.  Letting a ruling stand often simply means that they had other more pressing matters that they wanted to use their scarce time and resources for.  Interesting too that the Republican lawmaker (as opposed to pundits)response has been muted.  Do they really want to jump up and down on this one- the party that was 95% white at their last convention when whites are a declining % of the electorate?
