Oops..

Somewhere along the line I lost the words “...to degrade, knowing they…“,
which SHOULD have appeared after “...mock and attempt…“ in item #1

Sorry about that.  I could have SWORN they were there when I posted the message.

The cartoonist was NOT “smearing” president Obama.

The cartoonist was pointing out and making fun of:

1)  The hypocrisy of “enlightened” so-called “artists” who regularly, viciously and openly mock and attempt will get away with it because the overwhelming majority of Christians do not KILL those who make fun of them, but who lack the intestinal fortitude to openly mock Islam because they KNOW they will likely to be the subject of a fatwah and may very well end up being attacked and/or murdered for offending the religion of peace, and

2) The idiocy of those who would assign messianic attributes to Mr. Obama.  And “rjma, just because YOU are not one of them, or claim to “have never heard of or seen” one of them, does not mean such people do not exist.

I saw no smear whatsoever of Mr. Obama, himself, in that cartoon.

Another lame Obama smear.  He had nothing to do with this but the writer injects him into the fray for no other reason that to smear him.  I suspect that was the sole reason for writing this.

One may wonder what’s this all about.  I looked at a clip on the incident.  Without knowing anything about it a reader could easily think it was him laying the picture of Jesus on the ground and urinating all over it. Hardly.

The segment involves the actor urinating in a toilet and a drop of urine accidentally ends up on a nearby painting of Jesus. A medical condition was apparently contributory. Still pretty incendiary depiction, but modern TV likes to do that.  “Edgy” they call it.

But then someone sees the drop and insists it was Jesus crying.  Usually such crying depictions involve Mary for some reason. Depictions that are pretty silly IMO.

Anyway people take the picture, buy an RV and go on the road showing people the “miracle”.  Only later do they learn that the “tear” is actually urine.

So that’s the rest of the story.  But if you hate Obama, which apparently the editors of the CSE do, they you will try to make political hay out of this.
