OB- I can only conclude that you don’t read this paper regularly, as you would know that there are numerous cartoonists featured in the CSE.  There is one who is local, the rest are syndicated.

But if this cartoonist had been reading the paper he’d have known that if anything the Deeds campaign from day one has been the one being standoffish from the WH, not the other way around.

And poking fun is fine, but poking fun at a real disability is way out of bounds and has no place in a community newspaper.  Is it just stuttering that you think is worthy of ridicule or are there other disabilities you think are fair to poke fun at.

Then you say the cartoons never take sides. That is completely absurd. Political cartoons take sides by design.  I challenge you to find one single cartoon in the CSE that critically singles out McDonnell or any Republican.

So then you’re fine with Ms. Johnson’s comments?  Or that it’s OK because someone made fun of Mr. Kilgore’s accent, which I vaguely remember.  Perhaps you can refresh my memory.

It’s interesting.  Creigh Deeds’ overcoming a stuttering problem to make it where he is today has never shown up in his biography BEFORE. Yet now, when someone makes fun of his inabilty/unwillingness to actually articulate a clear position on an issue, they are accused of attacking him for some alleged “disability”.

The dems play the politics of victimhood perfectly.

Of course, it was PERFECTLY okay for them to mock Gerry Kilgore’s accent; because THAT’S different.

And rjma, PLEASE do not once again play the “I’VE never seen MY side do THAT before” card.  You used it twice already this past week.

Unbelievable.  Bob McDonnell’s top endorser make an absolutely repugnant attack on Deeds supposed stutter and the CSE chooses instead not to call out Ms. Johnson or Mr. McDonnell to distance himself from the remark.  No, instead they make up some completely fabricated story about lack of support from the President and completely ignore how disgusting it is to make fun of other’s physical traits.  Do you also make fun of people in wheelchairs, the blind?  Or is it just stutterers?
This is so shameful and partisan.  I can’t wait to hear who you are endorsing.
