I have never seen more willfully ignorant people.

A 60 Minutes piece on CIA and cocaine smuggling:

Why do you think we’re in Afganistan? Heroin production is up 12 times there, thanks to US forces guarding the fields. That’s out of the mouths of the soldiers.
You should feel guilty posturing yourself like that. You’re a braggart. A bully. I’m not afraid of your gavel or your cages.
A record number of people are incarcerated. That is not something to be proud of. We’re like China, now. Those are your fellow man that you are locking up.
Courts are nothing more than theatre. They disarm you at the door and put you in front of a man who is lofted above you. Then they conduct half the preceedings in Latin and legalese to confuse the average man. First amendement rights are all but suspended.
It’s a big, complicated joke.
So would you feel laws prohibiting the use of firearms in crimes are also unfair because firearms are made DontTread? Many people feel laws are unfair. Many just don’t care about laws and just do what they please. They deserve what they get when they get caught. You might be intelligent but where is the common sense? Cars have speeedometers. If you use them you won’t have a problem with a speeding ticket. Speed limits are designed for the safety of everyone. Laws for the same reasons.
I seriously doubt your friends are stopped by the police for doing absolutely nothing. My bosses ship the drugs? Now you are really out there. I agree with OPA. Go ahead and tell you side to the judge if you ever get arrested. The sound of the gavel works for me.
DontTread, the “packing sound of fists on face” suits you? You are correct. There are millions of you. As of year-end 2007, a record 7.2 million people in the USA were behind bars, on probation or on parole. Of the total, 2.3 million were incarcerated. Are you by chance one of them; or will you be? If you’re ever arrested, tell it to the judge and pray for sympathy. I think you’d not get it from many law-abiding citizens like me. We much prefer the sound of the gavel following sentencing and we pray for rehabilitation.
I am purely sentient and intelligent. You’re still name-calling.
The packing sounds of fists on face would suit me.
My way of thinking is the future. There are millions of us. The old way of doing thing is over.
It is an honor to take your flack. I defend free humainty against the status quo and “business as usual”.
Ps - LawMan. You know your bosses ship in the drugs. And the courts are just theatre. And we’re all being taxed and prosecuted under U.C.C./maritime law - not civil law.

You are purely delusional DontTread. Anarchy would please you in your state of mind.
Thanks, Wayne :D
LawMan, so what you’re saying is that you are part of the Glorified Nanny Police State. What did we ever do before cops could stick their snouts in our business and make sure we’re okay.
Those who give up liberty for security deserve NEITHER.
“when I calm such situations down”... Yeah, you get to feel like the big Daddy who made everything okay. You took the job because you want to take charge and be in charge.
Speed limits are unfair. Being chased around in scorn by your former peers and made an example of is enough punishment. The penalties are for more serious than necessary. They make cars that go like 200, now. If the law is the law, then why are there cars that go way beyond what we’re permitted to do? Because there’s so much money to be made taxing everything that’s actually fun! And you get to reap the benefit of that :D You get paid off this. I don’t expect you to agree.
LM, you took the job. Don’t complain at me about it. I can take care of myself. I don’t need you.
Culpeper is my haven. I bet my kind owns more of it than yours does. I was born here. I will die here. I don’t like seeing the giant criminal police state creep its ugly federalized head into my town. I don’t like seeing my friends stopped and held like a criminal for running down the street at the wrong time of night. This is not 1930s Germany. This is not Russia. This is not China. Get it?
Brian: Just because there are men with guns who will stop at nothing to cull me physically does not make them right. It makes them brute drones under orders.
No one is putting themselves between danger and me. No one is serving me. I don’t like my fellow people getting nickled and dimed by a robber barron judicial system.
In the Land of the Guilty the only real crimes is getting caught. You better believe that, Bubba.
And you admit you don’t even know what Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” is. Some American you are.
It is astounding to me that Mr. Jenkins
gets the amount of attention that he does. He should be forgotten already.
BTW I for the most part agree with his
views on the immigration issue. His
remedies however were embarrassing.
Sandalwood, if any candidate for local office who knocks on your door answers anything but “Nothing. I’ll swear to uphold the Constitution and it clearly says it is not within my authority to do anything on immigration. It is the exclusive power of the federal government,” Say “thank you,” close the door in his/her face and forget him/her. In other words, be law abiding. Don’t Tread, if you truly believe that “the government is supposed to provide for the common defense and the post office. That is all” and that “the whole of the court system is a sham,” you are both ignorant beyond belief and dangerous.
Good go see you again WayneS. Haven’t seen you in a while.
It’s clear to me from many posts that you don’t care for law enforcement or government DontTread. You say that we don’t keep the peace and that we have been switched to law enforcement? I will make sure I remember that I am not a peace keeper when I respond to a domestic dispute, disturbance, disorderly and so on. I will make sure that I remember that I am not a peace keeper when I calm such situations down and keep things from getting out of control. I will make sure that I have you to thank for reminding me that I don’t keep the peace. You can’t be serious.
People tell me every day that many laws are unfair. I give them speeding tickets for going way above the speed limit. They claim that speed limits are unfair. They give me such a hard time on the side of the road but yet it amazes me that they pay the ticket because they don’t want to face the judge. It would be ridiculous to use such an excuse.
It’s nice to know just how much you appreciate us. It’s nice to know just how much you appreciate what we do for you. It’s nice to know that we will continue to serve you regardless of how you feel. It’s nice to know that we serve everyone regardless of how much they like us or hate us. Hopefully you will remember that if you are ever saved by one of us. Protect and Serve my friend. You can rest assure that we will do this for you. I gave up years ago on pleasing everyone. A majority of the fine people I have come in contact with in my 24 ½ years are both pleased and appreciative.
You appear to be very unhappy with government at all levels. I am sorry to hear that. You make it sound as if Culpeper is a dreadful place to live. You fail to see all the wonderful things that Culpeper has to offer.
We are limited to what we can do locally on illegal immigration Sandalwood. How many times must you be told? Neither a candidate nor current government elected official has the power to go above what can’t be done. You might want that but it won’t happen. Did you not learn this already from Steve Jenkins? I am pleased that our town government has worked with the best interest of the people. Steve Jenkins had his run. He tried to make his own rules. He found out that it doesn’t work that way. Go back and look at what he did. Do you believe he acted in your best interest? I’d say that he was more liked reckless.
