To the residents of Culpeper, thanks for your support and donations during my campaign.

The results of the Town Council election are really much uglier than I ever thought they would be (“Chips fall for incumbents,” May 7).

Thank you to the voters who came out to vote in the Town Council election on May 6, especially those who supported and voted for me and worked the polls on Election Day.

The Culpeper County Public Schools Office of Special Education wishes to thank all of the individuals and local businesses that made our second annual Special Games on May 2 possible.

This is going to be a fatal blow to America in the next few decades if we don’t get on the ball soon.

Thank you, Mr. Inskeep, for your letter to the Star-Exponent (“Regarding the use of a flood plain,” April 26) on the WWII and Korean Wars Memorial that was placed in a park flood area on Wine Street in the town of Culpeper. 

With the town election over, I would like to thank each and every person who voted, but most of all to those people who supported me during a tough campaign and at the polls when they cast their vote for me.

Kudos to Steve Kropp for organizing the special events on Friday at Culpeper County High School.

On May 6, the CCHS PTSA served more than 180 teachers and staff at our second annual Teacher/Staff Appreciation Continental Breakfast.

I would like to thank each of you who welcomed me, and my husband, into your home during this campaign period.

I don’t think most people have the money to go to a doctor every time they get a cold so I guess the next thing is to have a school for just the sick kids.

Just having relocated to the Culpeper area from Pennsylvania a little over a year ago, my husband and I aren’t aware of much of the history of the area. 

I strongly urge the residents of Culpeper to vote May 6 for Pat Baker for the Town Council.

There are important choices to be made in this Culpeper Town Council election, with issues facing our town such as consolidation, immigration and boundary line adjustments.

I read James Clements piece in the April 28 Star-Exponent and felt compelled to write (“The Ross Perot’s of this election”).

I am pleased to express my support for Chris Snider for Town Council.

I agreed with your editorial about the budget until you criticized last year’s teacher raises.

. You’d be surprised how seldom teachers hear such things!

My colleagues have worked tirelessly for the citizens throughout their terms.

On May 6, you, the town voter, will elect to our Town Council four representatives.

At the end of the meal our server came to us and told us that the couple that was sitting next to us had paid for our entire meal. I was shocked!

I plan to vote in the upcoming Town Council election. I will vote for those who I feel will make a difference.

The family of Sandy Martin II deeply appreciates the many expressions of love and sympathy shown to his family at his unexpected death.

In this real world that I live in, and given the nasty reputation for violence this country has acquired in the past, I fear for the safety of both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama, should either win the presidential race in November.

The Culpeper County School Board claims they can’t have certain activities and certain sports this year because of lack of funds — well I have an idea.
