Angler needs to give public some better answers

Regarding the water and sewer treatment plant article in the March 31 Star-Exponent ("Budget issues, Angler project on county agenda), I was surprised that such a huge project affecting potentially thousands of residents has not been made public. Salem District Supervisor Tom Underwood's questions were well put, but Angler Vice President Steve Vento's answers were not enlightening.
I think the public should be wary of a company that has grandiose plans for a water system but is unclear about financing.
Also, Mountain Run should be kept beyond any risk of pollution and depletion.
Global warming and the lowering of water tables are accelerating. I wonder if the land can produce enough water to support the huge population Angler is counting on to pay its fees.
A project like this should not be steamrolled over Culpeper County residents.
I urge that a date for public input and clarification of issues be set as soon as possible.
