Clearing the air on county assessor job
Published: June 13, 2009
I would like to point out an inaccuracy in Wednesday’s “Our View” regarding the office of county assessor.
The facts are uncomplicated. The person who has in fact been doing the job for the last three years is still doing the same job. The only difference is that the person now reports to a different reporting structure.
There is no new $100,000 job, no new position to advertise, and no change to the budget.

Sadly, nothing will change this year. Aylor, Chase and Rosenberger will all win in November. This will insure the re-elections of Hansohn, Nixon, Walker and Underwood next election. For all those who talk about change, they fail to act on their speeches. Vote them out or stop talking.
Mr. Bossio, if this was so uncomplicatedm why not explain it before the vote instead of making excuses afterward? If it is the same assessor as Mr. Bossio claims what difference does it make who they work for? The answer is NONE!Concerned is right, it’s all about control. The BOS wants to control everything at whatever cost.
Mr. Bossio just confirmed the allegation that this was about control. The Board of Supervisors want to control everything: The School Board and Superintendent, The Town Council, Water and Sewer, and now the Assessor of Property. All the while they seek control and power their inability and incompetence ruins everything they touch. TRULY time for BIG changes in County Government!!!!
