Could consolidation affect guns in county-

At first glance, the consolidation of the town and county seems like a good idea. It has the potential to reduce the bureaucracy and deliver services in a more efficient way.

However, I have concerns about unintended consequences.  For example, what would consolidation mean regarding restrictions on discharging firearms in the county-

Many county residents enjoy target shooting and have areas on their property where shooting can be done in a responsible and safe manner.

I would hate to see it become illegal for me to shoot a BB gun in my own back yard because of consolidation.

I hope this issue will be addressed before consolidation comes up for a vote.
