Deeds provides a forward approach for Virginia

» 5 Comments | Post a Comment

Apparently, this election comes down to what independent and Democratic voters want Virginia to do for the next four years. The last debate for governor allowed Virginians to see and hear the differences between the candidates.

Clearly, it is Creigh Deeds’ longstanding commitment to values Virginians share, his hard work and his vision for Virginia that is needed.

Virginia can move forward with Deeds’ pragmatic, business-friendly approach. It is what worked successfully under Warner and Kaine. Continuing such a steady, multiyear approach will ensure Virginia remains the best place to start a business and raise a child.

The alternative is to permit Deeds’ opponent to take Virginia backward with policies that will jeopardize the progress working women and families have made over the years. Sunday’s Washington Post’s detailed, analytical and conservative-minded endorsement of Deeds for governor should be read by all Virginian voters because it was focused on Virginia’s future.

oh Brewer, Obama tried and found he couldn’t control the media like he thought he could. The first step to a dictatorship is control of the banks, media, military. He has the banks, thought he had the media and thinks he has the military by his waffling on McChrystal’s request for more troops. One which every high ranking officer as told him to do.

rjma -  Sorry you misunderstood. I didn’t make myself clear.

MY COMMENT IS COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC.  If I meant yours,  I would have said yours.  Guess I should have said MY.

Not sure why I even bother responding….but here goes.

“Completely off topic” writes the brewer.  It is the ad lying about Deeds’ proposals in the election in 11 days, one inch away from the letter.  What could be more on topic than that?

Then you follow with President Obama and Fox news.  Is that “on-topic”?

rjma -  completely off topic,  but why don’t you do your next column on the benefits of the current Administration going to war with FOX NEWS?

Explain their thinking on “uninviting” FOX NEWS to the POOL yesterday. Explain why this is not an attempt to squash freedom of the press.

Meanwhile, on this same online page, the CSE accepts ads about Creigh Deeds that factcheck.org says are “not true”....which is putting it kindly.
