Don’t forget about Michael’s dark past

Why is the media mourning the death of a pedophile?
Michael Jackson admitted to sleeping with children and paid off families to keep quiet. Now there are tributes, Congress observes a moment of reverence, and people seem to have chosen to forget the damage he’s done.
Sure Michael may be the “King of Pop,” but for respect to children everywhere, and just plain decency, the truth needs to be brought back to light.

marockomole, I think you need to know that MJ admitingly said some of the things which made him believed by many that he was a pedophile. 1) He admitted sleeping with children that he asked their parents if they could spend the night with him. 2) He admitted drinking while in bed with them. 3) He admitted looking at pornography with them. 4) Others who entered the room testified that things looked more than questionable. And worst, 5) A trial to clear your name of all suspicion would have helped had he not started paying off families of other accusers. If he didn’t pay people off, I suspect one good trial standing up to extortionist would have said him a lot more money then the trails costs.
Don’t get me wrong…I don’t know for sure. How can any of us? As this is why this crime is so easily perpetrated on young victims. A child don’t know to get “evidence”. But, as said before, at the very least, he brought the suspicion and lifetime shame on himself by his own behavior.
Michael Jackson, What a dark past?
“Why is the media mourning the death of a pedophile?”
Have you thought that it is because the world demands it. You can’t be naive enough to think that the media would do this if it didn’t get ratings and make them money. And sleeping with children does not automatically make you a pedophile. How many parents have slept with their child to comfort them and pedophiles they are not.
Don’t you think it is possible that there are some people out there that would try to accuse some one famous of something to get money? Yes Michael Jackson has made payments to parents of children, put has anyone stop to think that maybe it was cheaper to payoff then to go to court and fight. Think of what it would it would be like to be that famous and have to go thought that, just to defend yourself against the tabloids would cost you millions. I am not saying that Michael Jackson was innocent or guilty because I don’t know, and neither does anyone else in the world except for the people directly involved. In this country people are so quick to jump and say guilty. Not many people in this world will ever know what it is like to be as rich and famous as Michael Jackson. Situations are handled differently because they are famous because of all the media and tabloids. All I am saying is put yourself in their shoes for a minute and don’t judge just from things you always read and see. It can be taken out of context or not true at all. Like I said the only one who really knows are the one directly involved. Remember in school the teacher would tell you something and you would have to pass it on and then you would find out how much it changed after 5 or 10 people. I feel people in this world bank to much on what all the celebrity news shows and magazines say.
Just think about it and don’t be so fast to judge.
You ask why? It’s because he is black (or he used to be before skin treatments). Granted, he was a talented entertainer before he became bizarre. Notice that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson put themselves immediately in the spotlight! Not because they cared anything for him but because they can get some publicity mileage out of it. What a pair. I digress….
At the very least, what we know of MJ’s sleeping with his friends children, was that he drank wine in bed with them and he cannot remember if he may have touched them inappropriately or not. So, now the standard has to be set by the accuser, and not the drunken and drugged grown man who should have known better to “sleep” with young children, and more so, because they were not even ‘his’ children.
I find his death a sad testament of a man who had everything (or could have), and lost it all to the depravities of his sad heart. He died without the love of his family near him; he died poor, though he had the potential to be so wealthy; he died unhealthy, though he had a doctor at his beckon-call; he died with no self-esteem, though he had more talent given him at birth than millions; and he died trying to erase his heritage from his skin, though he came through the years of civil rights and should be so proud of his achievements for his race.
Oh, please!!! Are we going to get techniczl here in describing Michael Jackson’s behavior toward little boys. If so how about using these terms??? PERVERT… USER… or the best one I can think of…CREEP!!!! Neither a legal nor psychiatric term but certainly descriptive of MJ!!!!
Sleeping in bed with children does not meet the standard for pedophile, a psychiatric term, not a legal one.
As his financial problems continued, Jackson began to borrow large sums of money, according to a 2002 lawsuit by Union Finance & Investment Corp. that sought $12 million in unpaid fees and expenses. The BET Awards 2009 was set to be a celebratory event, but a few days before it aired the sudden passing of Michael Jackson stunned the world. The BET Awards 2009 held extensive tributes to the late legend, including an appearance by his bereaved sister, Janet Jackson, and a somewhat crass Jamie Foxx moonwalk. Some would give a cash advance to erase it from memory. Few performers’ deaths have been as perplexing, as it recalls the deaths of John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Marvin Gaye, and “Dimebag” Darrell Lance Abbott, all taken from us suddenly, with no cash loans being able to fill the void, and tributes, even at the BET Awards 2009, scarcely relieve the pain of the loss.
