Ed Scott the best choice for House of Delegates

» 3 Comments | Post a Comment

I wish to encourage everyone to support Del. Ed Scott for re-election. I have observed him to be a man of character and true to his word. He is always accessible, he will listen to your concerns and he is willing to help. He is a strong supporter of agriculture, which is the backbone of our community. However, he has secured funding for our schools, local library, helped local businesses and many with personal concerns.

In my position, I come in contact with many state delegates, and I am often told how well respected Ed Scott is at the state level. Whether Democrat or Republican, I encourage you to support a man with local ties, who values this community and works hard to preserve our traditional values.

lack of options? Oberman, we have a strong Independent choice this year who is worth our consideration b/c we know what we get with the Republican. We get more of the same. With Carson we get the ‘Contrarian of the Piedmont’ (a line I borrowed from a hand-made sign hanging in Amissville). I have said before that if we can muster the fortitude to send in an independent this year state politics will never be the same, the best analogy I heard is it’ll be like tossing a fox into a hen house.

What do you mean no options?  Most anyone can run but they choose not to because Ed is a strong candidate who strikes a middle-of-the-road posture that appeals to a wide segment of the electorate. He has been focused on serving his constituents without pandering to the extreme wing of his party, which at times can be a tightrope.

He is the best choice because of lack of options….
