Enrollment on the rise at Rappahannock CC

I send good wishes and compliments on your fine regional paper, the Culpeper Star-Exponent.

I’ve just read an article that you printed last week Saturday titled “GCC is fastest-growing community college in Virginia.” Many kudos to GCC, our sister college that continues to serve many students in our region.

Of particular interest to us, however, is the observation that “Rappahannock Community College in Warsaw saw a 0.5 percent drop in enrollment.”

In fact, Rappahannock Community College has had increased enrollments for several years. In 2008-09 RCC grew by 4.5 percent. The spring enrollment was up by 6.4 percent. In the past five years, RCC enrollment has grown over 28 percent.
