Examine voting patterns to see which candidates are responsible

I find it’s more helpful to know the past voting record of candidates than what they say, mislead, or infer in speeches, sound bites and ads as they campaign. How representatives have voted is certainly indicative of how they will stand on issues in the future.
For years, The Virginia Family Foundation has rated the legislature on those issues that affect families (including tax issues).
Averaging the last six years each served in the legislature, gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds was rated at only 19 percent and candidate Bob McDonnell at 96%. Attorney general candidate Steve Shannon was rated at 24%, and candidate Ken Cuccinnelli 94%. In the lieutenant governor’s race, Bill Bolling was rated at 97%. Jody Wagner has not served in the legislature, but she is Gov. Kaine’s Secretary of Finance and has worked hard for his proposed tax increases.
It’s also fairly evident the Kaine administration has had little understanding of what has and is happening to Virginia families with job losses, overtime cuts, hours lost, stock values, dividend losses, etc. and the effect this has on tax revenues into the state. They have had to adjust their income projections several times already.
Our families are experiencing difficult times, mainly due to wrong decisions made and being made by congressmen in Washington. Certainly this election will somewhat be a poll on Congress and the president. Before it is too late we must elect those who have the most fiscally and morally responsible records that will affect each one of us in one way or another.

I’d like to comment on this, but RJMA and El Debibble have summed it all up quite nicely.
Who would be the kool-aid drinker mister parrot of right-wing rhetoric, I mean eyesis? You must be referring to RJMA, since you can’t see that in fact you are the kool-aid drinker.
You also assume you know who people voted for. Personally I voted for McCain, will vote for Deeds, and I always vote for Ed Scott. You on the other hand probably don’t even vote.
I knew I would see the koolaid drinkers here. Dems will lose in 2010. Sorry bout your bad luck.
And how pray tell did they come up with their “rating”. If they vote for their way of looking at things they get a good rating. Ms. Scott implies that this is some sort of unbiased rating.
If you like the right wing American Family Foundation (no abortion in cases of rape, no recognition for committed adult relationships, public money for private schools, etc.) then you will probably like the Republican candidates. But if you use another screen from groups interested in the economy, crime, education, conservation, social justice, then you might come up with a different perspective.
But I would urge voters to make up their own mind about what vote is important to you rather than simply rely on one narrow screen.
So is this the same Eva F. Scott who was the first woman to be elected to the VA Senate in 1980 and is a donor to the McDonnell campaign?
So what? After comapring what the Foundation says to what it actually does it would be impossible for me to care less what their opinion is.
