Fix gov’t with more gov’t?

While President Obama is a gifted speaker and salesman, his health care speech was very much lacking in substance.

Obama says there is so much waste and fraud in Medicare that the savings from eliminating this waste could help pay for 30 million to 40 million people to become insured through the “public option” of his healthcare plan. Both Medicare and Obama’s public option are government health care.

I have no faith that Obama’s government-run health care will be any less wasteful and inefficient than the past program under Medicare. We are asked to believe that more government can cure a past government problem. The main change will be long lines and long waits.

Instead of cost savings from elimination of waste and fraud, the cost savings will be forced to come from rationed health care. Obama should have addressed why government health care is not working in Canada, Great Britain and many other countries, in order to convince us that it will somehow work here. Obama’s claim that his health care plan will not add to the deficit is unbelievable.

Mr. Obama, we hope you will be the last president to propose government health care, since the majority of American people would prefer some amendments to our present system, which is still the best health care in the world!

Mr. Bender…Please explain your idea of “rationed” health care.  Just exactly. What do you mean by this? Please state specificities. Also, are you the same gentleman who wrote talking about death decisions by the government and government interference in parenting?

OW…Thank you for your analysis..Now I won’t have to pay a psychologist. MY goodness, the pot calling the kettle black!!!!  How unusual from you!!!  BTW..It is ROGERS K. Not Roger.

Opa, I support you.  And I have been around with Roger too, should be called RogerRabbit for all the bunny trails he/she runs down.  When he doesn’t have anything to say to substantiate, he plays psychologist on you and does a complete analysis of your personality, to the point that he’ll prescribed sleep and social behavior.  So sad, cause he’s the hardest to keep on topic, but blames others for it.

rogersk, yeah I was late getting to a doctor’s appointment. See, I do make mistakes. My 8:24 AM post was to ern1. I wrote “ern1, thanks for the input. I don’t understand why you support her but there’s no need to be sorry. You may support anyone you want.  How come she can’t prove me wrong?”

Just one more thing, OPA, and then I don’t want to have any more conversation with you…Did you have a little computer glitch there????  Hit the wrong button in your haste to be YOU????  Well, transparency IS the order of the day. RIGHT????

Sorry OPA - I most definitely was being supportive of rogersk.

OPA - Wouldn’t argue with rogersk unless you want to be proven wrong.
