The angel appears again to play taps at husband’s grave
Published: June 12, 2009
I was encouraged, in late November, to share with you my story of a visit with an angel. It can be found on BuglesAcrossAmerica.org.
This is a sequel to that story.
At that time, I wrote of an angel, unaware, who appeared at Culpeper National Cemetery, when I was there last Veterans Day; the angel sounded taps at my husband’s grave.
This past Memorial Day, I, again was at the cemetery. I had been there a few days prior when flags were being placed at all graves. At this particular moment, I noticed a smaller one had also been placed at my husband’s grave.
Seeing no others nearby, I wondered from whence it came. As I looked a little closer, I noticed that, along with it, a card had been left identical to the one I had been given last fall — except this one had an inscription stating the sounding of taps was done an hour earlier.
This man with Bugles Across America was, again, honoring America’s veterans. I had hoped to hear music from the special memorial service being held in the old section of the cemetery, as I could see graves from where I stood. Almost immediately, after finding the card and noting the small flag, I heard the rendition of taps. I was transcended.
Thanks to this angel who, again, made my day.
