Track meet promotes healthly family life

This year’s Tri-County Track Meet takes place at Culpeper’s Eastern View High School Sept. 12.

The event — open to all residents of Culpeper, Madison and Orange counties ages 4 to 79 — offers an inexpensive way for several or all members of a family to prepare for the meet together (and improve their fitness while doing so), compete in the meet to-gether and continue to benefit, in many ways, from this shared experience long after the meet is over.

Each competitor will be running not only for his or herself, but also for his or her county. The county with the most points will be given the tri-county winner’s trophy, retaining it until 2010.
